The city spreads out before you. Rushing from point to point, lit by the slow strobe of fluorescent buses and dark streets. Stumbling into situations for a stranger’s signature. Fleeing unknown pursuers, breathing hard, admiring the landscape and the multitude of worlds hidden in it.
For one night, drop your relations, your work and leisure activities, and all your usual motives for movement and action, and let yourself be drawn by the attractions of the chase and the encounters you find there.
Journey to the End of the Night is a race through the streets of DC. You will try to make it to six checkpoints as fast as you can, while avoiding being caught by chasers. Those who survive will be praised and feted at the end. Those who fall will become chasers themselves, rising to pursue their former friends and allies.
This is a footrace–only your own two feet and the metro are permitted. No bicycles, no skates, no cars, no taxis. This race is for you, your fellow players, and the city itself.
The 2010 race is scheduled for Saturday, May 15 at 7:00PM. Please Register for the Journey. By doing so, you will be able to receive extra clues and other information which will help you during your Journey.

Count me OUT! My whole family was destroyed by zombies and I’m just not comfortable with the idea of this race.
Catch me if you can
I will be attending with a friend
Are there any specific rules? Also, is there a time limit to how long someone can stand in a safe zone? Are Chasers allowed in Safe Zones?
Count me in!
I’m not wearing any pants!
This sounds awesome cant wait for it! if you need some volunteers for it count me in.
Sounds like a blast! Would really like to do it! Nobody has gotten back to me yet!!!
Count me in. Sounds like a blast!!!!
Last year I tore the cartilage in both my knees. This year I’ll be returning!
My team, Bros For The Win, captured the most amount of people starting out as players, but this time we plan on starting out as chasers from the get go to get even more of you!
I hope you can out run a groups of sprinters, cross country kids, and free runners…
Good luck!
I would love to do this but just found out about it! When is the next time this will be done here in DC? I will definitly be part of it next time around. Are there any other events like this going on around town?
I wish I had seen this earlier. Please make sure this comes back to DC as I will not be able to make this Saturday. I already have people willing to make a trip for a future event.
I would love to do this and already have plans for saturday. Is there a way I can be put on a mailing list the next time you guys do this event?
Thanks!

….but, does it have to be on foot? (I’m thinking a bike would be sweet!)
I plan to reach the end this year! And I won’t hurt myself this time around (maybe…).
I’m signing up!
